Introduction to fundamental typographic elements: visual composition and form-making, sequence and narrative, and contrast and hierarchy. Final project is a portfolio to be submitted for sophomore performance review. Only one of the following may be counted: Design 312, 312G, 325. Six laboratory hours a week for one semester.
